CHOCOLATE + PB + POMEGRANATE BANANAS

Ready for a delish snack that won't last long in your freezer?

I'm here for you, friend.


I don't know how else to explain these other than an explosion in the mouth.

It's peanut butter and banana, meets peanut butter and jelly + peanut butter and chocolate all in one snack.

It's quite literally perfect.

& a fairly healthy dessert option in my opinion!

CHOCOLATE + PEANUT BUTTER + POMEGRANATE BANANAS

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 bananas, peeled

  • 3/4 cup natural peanut butter

  • 3/4 cup pomegranates

  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips, melted (i love using Hu Kitchen baking gems for the simple ingredients)

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

  • Maldon sea salt


DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. Slice bananas in half and then lengthwise. Place on parchment paper cut side up.

  3. Smooth the peanut butter over the bananas (about 1 tablespoon each). Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the pomegrantes on top of the peanut butter making sure to press down slightly so they stick.

  4. Heat the chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 15 second incremements until melted. Drizzle about 1 tablespoon over each banana.

  5. Use the remaining 1/4 cup of pomegrantes to sprinkle over top the chocolate. Add a sprinkle of maldon sea salt.

  6. Freeze for at least one hour. Enjoy!


NOTES

  • These store well in the freezer in a glass container separated by parchement.

  • Feel free to get fancy with the type of nut butter you want to use.

  • Adding any berry would be great too!
