We are in Vallarta by noon.
It happened that quick.
We packed our bags and headed out on a familiar adventure.
It wasn't planned...which honestly made it so spectacular.
Great start to 2018. ✅
See, we are working on a something this year.
That's not true.
We are working on a lot of things this year.
One of them...saying yes to more opportunities and adventures even when it's something we fear.
This was Keith's fear. While he LOVES Vallarta, it scares the crap out of him to just pick up and leave last minute like that. But when $140 roundtrip, nonstop last minute flights show up, you go! Am I right?
There was nothing stopping us. Nothing. We called our favorite cat sitters and we were off.
Illness changes you.
& even though it is usually a shit deal when you're going through it, there is always a lesson learned in the end.
Our number one lesson has been to LIVE IN THE MOMENT. (I know, so cliché. Topic for another time.)
To stop waiting for the opportunity and instead take the opportunity.
Always worried about repercussions, but if you actually sit and break down the situation at hand, there are usually very few of repercussions.
Ultimately, we are just trying to avoid our own fears.
All too often, we get caught up in the what if's. What if this goes wrong, what will they think, what if we fail, etc.
It's a constant battle of trying to push back those feelings; they usually win.
Ultimately you have to do what is right for you and your situation and screw the rest.
Let's be honest, the end result is usually joy.
I challenge you to do something outside your comfort zone this month.
Do something that scares you.
Participate in an opportunity that you have withheld from out of fear of external judgement.
You are in charge of your happiness.
Make sure you're happy.
Vallarta makes me happy.
I'm ready to go back.
Nah, that's a lie.
I want to live there.
My heart is at peace when I'm there.
Chaos doesn't exist and sunshine radiates.
Here are some pictures from our trip!
Remember, "Count your Rainbows, not your Thunderstorms!"
